So, I got into graduate school for journalism. And then I found out I was pregnant.
I have deferred the start of grad school until next September, but I still wanted to get started in some way. So, I thought, I am pregnant and I want to gather some good stories, what better way than to ask women about a moment in their life when they had to be the most courageous and to fight some of the toughest odds.
Here is the story of Liz, who had two births. One was in a segregated hospital, treated as many women were in the 50s and 60s. The other was a more modern birth with modern care.
I am very grateful to Liz for sharing her story with me.
